Leonida Penitentiary is the prison where Lucia Caminos serves time. Rockstar’s profile says fighting for her family landed her there, and “sheer luck” got her out.
In the trailers
- Trailer 1 (0:05–0:10): sunset behind a razor-wire fence, then Lucia in an orange inmate jumpsuit in an interview. A woman asks, “Lucia… Do you know why you’re here?” Lucia answers: “Bad luck, I guess.”
- Trailer 2 (0:50–1:07): a watchtower and razor wire, then Jason Duval at a visitor window: “I’m here for Lucia Caminos.” Signs behind the desk tell visitors there are no exceptions, in English and Spanish. Lucia walks out through a chain-link gate to meet him. GameSpot names the place as Leonida Penitentiary.
- Launch Trailer (0:11): Jason takes a call that opens with “This is a free call from Lucia Caminos.” GameSpot reads this as Lucia still being inside while Jason works. A later shower shot shows an ankle monitor, which GameSpot suggests may mean her release comes with conditions.

Rockstar hasn’t said where the prison is, how long Lucia’s sentence was, or whether you can visit it outside the story. See the Trailer 2 breakdown for the full pickup scene.
