Lucia Caminos is one of GTA 6’s two playable leads, alongside Jason Duval. Rockstar introduces her as a fighter: her father taught her to fight as soon as she could walk, and life has been coming at her swinging ever since. She is the first female lead in a mainline 3D GTA.
Background
- Fighting for her family landed her in Leonida Penitentiary. Rockstar says sheer luck got her out.
- Her mom has dreamed of a good life since their days in Liberty City.
- Lucia wants that life for real, not as a half-baked fantasy, and is ready to take matters into her own hands.
- Fresh out of prison, she’s committed to her plan whatever it takes. A life with Jason could be her way out.
In the trailers
Trailer 1 (December 2023) opens with Lucia in a prison interview and ends with her and Jason pulling off robberies together. In Trailer 2 (May 2025), Jason picks her up from prison. Both are in our gallery.
A line on her section of Rockstar’s character page sums up the outlook: “The only thing that matters is who you know and what you got.”
Not confirmed
Rockstar hasn’t said whether you can switch between Lucia and Jason freely, as you could between GTA 5’s three leads. See the full GTA 6 cast.
