Jason Duval is one of GTA 6’s two playable leads, alongside Lucia Caminos. Rockstar sums him up in one line: he wants an easy life, but things just keep getting harder.
Background
- He grew up around grifters and crooks.
- A stint in the Army was meant to shake off his troubled teens.
- Afterwards he ended up in the Leonida Keys, doing what he knows best: working for local drug runners. Rockstar hints it might be time to try something new.
- He lives rent-free at one of Brian Heder’s properties, as long as he helps Brian with local shakedowns.
- His friend Cal Hampton is another of Brian’s associates.
Jason and Lucia
Meeting Lucia could be the best or worst thing ever to happen to him; Rockstar says right now it’s hard to tell. In Trailer 2 (May 2025) he picks her up from prison, and Trailer 1 ends with the pair pulling off robberies together.
Lines on his section of Rockstar’s character page: “If anything happens, I’m right behind you.” and “Another day in paradise, right?”
Not confirmed
Rockstar hasn’t detailed how switching between Jason and Lucia works, or how long Jason’s Keys life lasts once the story starts. See the full GTA 6 cast.
