The Leonida Keys are a tropical island chain in GTA 6’s State of Leonida, where life “isn’t flashy but it’s easy.” Under the heading “Gateway to Paradise,” Rockstar’s tagline reads: “The dress code is casual, the bars are loaded.”
What Rockstar has shown
- Some of “the most beautiful and dangerous waters in all of America.”
- Official images of a seaplane over the water, a road bridge linking two islands, a busy beach bar, boat parties and jet skis.
- Scuba divers among coral, fish, an eel and a sea turtle, and an iguana strolling past a mobility scooter.
Who lives here
- Jason Duval ended up in the Keys after the Army, working for local drug runners.
- Brian Heder is a drug runner from the golden age of Keys smuggling, still moving product through his boat yard with his third wife, Lori. He lets Jason live rent-free at one of his properties.
Real-world inspiration
Rockstar names no real places; outlets describe the Leonida Keys as inspired by the Florida Keys.
Not confirmed
How many islands there are, and where Brian’s boat yard and properties sit, are not announced. See the Leonida map overview for all six regions.
